Designs for Health Receives Certificate of Appreciation from the Ukrainian Consul
With a commitment to restore, maintain, and preserve the health and wellness of all people, Designs for Health (DFH) was one of the first to respond to the Foundation's request for supplies with our donation of Silvercillin™ Spray to help support a healthy immune system.*
Based in Portland, Oregon, home to over 100,000 immigrants from Ukraine, one of our DFH practitioners, Yulia Brockdorf, from the Ukrainian Foundation, works collaboratively with the Ukrainian-American Cultural Association of Oregon & Southwest Washington and NOVA Ukraine.
These organizations are all part of the global effort to help fill the unmet needs of displaced Ukrainians both in and out of the country. They are diligently collecting needed items and organizing cargo and passenger airplane shipments of urgent medical supplies for Ukraine.
DFH was one of the first to respond to the Ukrainian Foundations' request for urgent medical supplies with our donation of Silvercillin™ Spray to help support a healthy immune system.* This was sent alongside tactical first aid kits, with tourniquets and hemostatic gauze to be distributed to individuals in need in the hospitals and the field.
In September, the Ukrainian Foundation hosted the Ukrainian Day Portland Festival at Westmoreland Park in Portland, Oregon — a multilingual, cultural celebration with food, music, and entertainment that had approximately 3,000 people in attendance.
DFH Functional Medicine Consultant, Linda Banchini, was invited to attend, and on behalf of DFH was presented with a Certificate of Appreciation the Honorary Consul of Ukraine for Washington and Oregon states.
Amidst the current devastation in Ukraine, medical facilities are being destroyed precisely in areas where the needs are becoming most acute. These supplies are a lifeline for many for injuries, surgeries, and other critical care needs of the wounded.
DFH is honored to be recognized for our contributions to such a greater purpose by impacting the health and wellness of the most vulnerable citizens of Ukraine.
Although these efforts are ongoing, there is more work to be done.
